How long has GAFCO been a contractor?
The principal has been a contractor for over 32 years.
Is GAFCO state licensed?
YES. We hold state a Class A license in Florida (CGC058486) and a Class B license California (570443).
Will my project require a permit?
99.9% of all projects require a permit. Our permitting department will evaluate each project prior to commencement and obtain all necessary permits required for completion.
Can GAFCO provide a list of references?
Yes, a list can be provided upon request for each specific type of project.
What is the time-frame for starting and completing projects?
Since every project is different, this question must factor in several aspects, including the schedules of everyone involved and the time needed to order and receive materials and custom items. Please be assured that each project will be given the utmost attention and dedication.
How is GAFCO managed?
The management team takes a hands-on approach to each project and will visit every site at least once a week. There are weekly staff meetings, with all project managers and field supervisors for each project, to discuss any long-lead items, schedule conflicts, manpower requirements and any client issues.
Does GAFCO carry workers compensation and liability insurance?
Yes. GAFCO carries a $3,000,000 liability policy and full worker’s compensation. In addition, all sub-contractor partners must carry complete liability and worker’s compensation policies, as well.
Does GAFCO have a safety program?
Yes. GAFCO has met and exceeded current OSHA requirements. We have a complete, written safety manual for each employee to review and sign. We periodically have safety meetings dedicated to reviewing current procedures and implementing new and improved ones. Additionally, we have a dedicated safety manager who visits all construction sites who inspects for any potential safety hazards, misuse of power tools, hand tools or safety equipment
When does the client pay GAFCO?
GAFCO works on a schedule of values payment system. We will never require upfront money. You are billed for what work has been performed on a thirty-day billing cycle or to meet customer’s financial draw requests.
What type of warranty does GAFCO have?
GAFCO and GAFCO partners will warranty all work for one-year after receiving Certificate of Occupancy. After the initial one-year period, GAFCO will review any requests on a case by case basis.
